Our take on this restaurant's wings
I stopped by Outlaw Wings Broomfield on a Friday afternoon and tried their lunch special: 4 wings Hot, 4 Medium, 4 Outlaw Dry Rub (this seems to be their signature dry rub), and 4 Honey Buffalo.
The Wings
The chicken wings themselves were a bit on the smaller side and a tad dry. However, the buffalo sauces — both the hot and medium - were very good.

Got the bootleg blueberry wings because of the reviews and because I’ve had blueberry wings elsewhere and liked them. these were not good. They had a strong pepper flavor (I could see a bunch of pepper on the wings) and just a hint of blueberry flavor. Pretty off putting. They need to go back to the drawing board with these and figure out how to give it a more appealing flavor. My husband and I both thought they were pretty bad. I’m actually shocked there are reviews of people saying they like them. It makes me wonder if something was off with the sauce this time…anyway the medium buffalo were good (standard). The tots were good (hard to mess up). The house salad was iceberg lettuce so I probably won’t get that again. Overall just average experience. I’ll probably order from here again and try another flavor. I was eyeing the mango habanero (another flavor I have liked elsewhere), but I’m a little afraid of how that will taste after trying the blueberry. I’m wondering if this place will let you try the sauces before ordering if ordering in person. It would honestly be worth waiting for my carry out order there to avoid another bad flavor experience.
The service was great. My server was helpful, and promptly. The place was clean and nice. The wing sauces were delicious. Especially the spicy Parmesan garlic. But. The wings felt old. They were not fresh and very dry. They were also room temp. And because of that, they were tough. I’ll give this place one more try. Just hope I get some fresh wings next time.
Best wings ever! A must try if you are in the area we came here after hearing good things decided to try it! The blueberry wings are a MUST!!! my hubby did the mango habenero as well they had a nice kick. I decided to go with the lemon pepper dry rub and the blueberry both soooo good! Definitely will be going back for more!
Update: I have gone back, because the food is good. BUT still when you PAY for extra sauce (aka Wet) they no longer give you any extra sauce. They continue to give almost zero sauce. You end up with barely flavored wings. It makes me wonder how bland and dry the wings are if you DON'T order extra sauce. I should have taken pictures again, because they keep coming out just like in my original photos. The food is always good. But the last 4 times I have asked for extra, as in more sauce, double the sauce, not dry... Wings. I keep getting wings that are barely covered in any sauce at all and zero extra sauce. We like to dip our fries in the extra sauce and of course slather our wings in them. Photos for reference on what they charge you extra for when you order extra sauce. I would hate to see what the normal amount is if this is extra!
Me an my wife an her coworker tried this spot out while visiting denver an I see why they have award winning wings , they are amazing, full of flavor , big , cook to perfection an again FULL OF FLAVOR (WET) an the truffle fries was the best I've had an being a foodie that says alot ..... 10/10 only thing I wish is I had this place in my city ... the bootleg blueberry wings hands down are the best
MY first review, now wings are boring, but burgers are great. JALAPEÑO POPPERS, very good, beer was good, Pina colada was 8.9 out of 10*...waitress was great, overall 8.6 out of 10* probably not as good as wingstop or bdubbs, but top10 list, maybe rank 6 on top 10 list!
I can't wait to go back to this place! The food was awesome we had the truffle fries, the zucchini sticks, the boneless spicy ranch, spicy garlic parmesan, the blueberry and the sweet Asian wings. They never fail to impress me and I hope we can come back soon. Noah with the hello kitty tattoo on the neck was super cool and provided us with EXCELLENT service. Thank you so much for making our dinner special. I would give you ten stars if I could.
